About DMV Taqueria's Chef
When the pandemic gave everyone pause, Alberto Fonseca discovered a new passion in his own kitchen. Encouraged by his wife to turn his cooking talent into a business, the two of them launched DMV Taqueria in the heart of the DC, Maryland and Virginia region.
Alberto’s signature birria tacos are soaked in rich, savory broth then piled high with creamy Oaxaca cheese imported from Mexico. The style and flavor earned DMV Taqueria a top spot among US taco destinations on Yelp in 2023.
